Construction was recently completed on the South 168th Street Drainage Improvements Project.  The project permanently reduced localized flooding near the intersection of South 168th Street and Military Road South by lowering the conveyance system, allowing stormwater to flow eastward along the south side of South 168th Street.  Failing downstream culverts were replaced to ensure long-term performance and reduce erosion.  The project was made possible with a $90,000 Flood Reduction Grant from King County Flood Control District and $144,000 from the City of SeaTac Surface Water Management Utility.
