Joseph Scorcio, AICP, City Manager
At their February 28, 2017 Council Meeting, the City Council named Director of Community and Economic Development Joseph Scorcio the City Manager. Joe had been serving as Acting City Manager since April 12, 2016.
The City of SeaTac has a Council-Manager form of government. The City Council appoints a full-time City Manager to oversee the daily operations of the City, and to advise, implement and administer the policies adopted by the City Council.

The City Manager’s Office staff consists of four full-time employees. The primary responsibilities of the City Manager are to prepare a proposed budget for the City Council's review and adoption, submit policy options and recommendations to the City Council, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the municipal government to ensure the attainment of the policy goals set by the City Council.
Key functions of the City Manager's Office include: administrative support to the Council, community relations and communications, contract negotiations, inter-governmental coordination with surrounding communities as well as the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Sound Transit, legislative and Congressional representation, research on regional issues, leadership of the City’s strategic planning and process improvement efforts, and act as staff liaison to the SeaTac Airport Committee.
